The Simply Savvy Kitchen Budget Makeover Finale

Well folks Weekend #4 ended up being a shopping bust! The only items I was able to find were white lamp shades for $6.88 each, $13.76 for the pair.

I’m still on the lookout for curtain panels, a piece of artwork to go on the wall above the table, black knobs for the cupboards & drawers and three white plates for the plate rack.

I spent a total of about $40 of my own cash and used $70 in gift cards on this entire makeover. I have A LOT of leftover supplies though that I'll be able to use in other rooms as I go along.

When I think about how far this room has come, I am very, very happy.

I think back to the clutter. The piles. The lack of ROOM for everything.

Or so I thought ...
Before ...

After ... where everything has its place.

Before ...

After ...
Before ...

After ...

I have much more fun cooking now that everything is so accessible. Cleaning up goes a lot quicker. And I finally have a place to sit aside from my dining room.

I’m making up a list of things I’d like to get as I use the space more and who knows, you may see Makeover #2 sometime in the spring.

For now I’m bringing out the Halloween décor and moving onto the dining room for next month’s Simply Savvy Makeover.

October is the perfect month because … well, it’s SCARY in there peeps. Pictures and my plan will be up on Thursday.

Thanks for all of your support, ideas and encouraging words. I don’t know that I could have done it without you!

It looks SO GOOD! I love how you cleaned OFF your counters. I SO WISH I could find room to move my 'stuff'. I just do not want to part with my microwave. One day I may rip out a cabinet and put it there. LOL That would take some more courage and WORK. You've done a great job! It's so cozy. I would love to sip a cup of coffee and your table while chatting about thrifty home decor!

What a HUGE difference!! I really love it, but I know you love it more. I love cooking in an organized kitchen...it does make a huge difference.

Awwww, thanks so much ladies! There's a place for you at SSG's table any time you want it. Just once I get the rest of my house decorated. So sometime in 2056. Smoochies.

OMG SSG! That's it - I need your fairy godmother touch for the Philly apt. I can't find an effin' thing and I JUST MOVED IN!?!?!!?

BTW- you scared the BEEJEBUS outta me when I went to log into SSG after a crazy long absence and saw your goodbye. I got all upset and then saw you just grew into a new spot. Congrats on the new abode but *whap* Yes, I missed ya!
