$40 Foodie & Menu for the Week

SSG only wanted three things this week ... well, three things related to her menu plan.

1) To use up what she already had in her fridge.
2) To spend < $35 to stay on budget for the month.
3) To have lots and lots of salad. With Ranch.

Luckily she was able to accomplish all three! Woo hoo!

I made two stops ...

Trader Joes: $22.86
Albertson's: $8.78

Menu for the week:

Sunday: Baked potato soup
Monday: Breakfast for dinner
Tuesday: Mac & Cheese (from the freezer) & Salad
Wednesday: Spinach, mushroom & parmesan mini frittatas with salad
Thursday: Tuscan Bean Soup (from the freezer) & salad

Hope you guys have great weeks!

I spy a can of pumpkin in the back there...here's a recipe I bet you don't have:

pumpkin + plain yogurt = puppy love

When I was working with my trainer friends on obedience training I mentioned a canine upset stomach and this is what they recommended. Proportions are generally 4 tbsp to 1 tbsp yogurt.

It was such a hit that every once in a while, it's a special treat supper for the goldens.

YEAH! You did it! I was thrilled to buy groceries for a little over $50 this week. I've seen my bill dropping EACH week with the help of menu planning. PLUS I don't spend near as much time in the grocery store. LOL List in hand.
